HIFU

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a cosmetic method used for skin tightening. This treatment is often considered a non-invasive alternative to surgical face lifts. The HIFU facial treatment involves the use of ultrasound energy to promote the production of collagen, ultimately resulting in firmer skin on the face and body.

During HIFU treatment, focused ultrasound energy is used to target layers of skin just below the surface. The tissue heats up and then experiences cellular damage that then stimulates the production of increased collagen. As the high-intensity focused ultrasound targets specific tissues, the surface skin is not damaged.
